Al-Baghdadi dead, a bit of news about the news, and a reminder

–1.) U.S. Special Forces killed Islamic State (IS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi last night in what, from all reports, was a stunningly professional operation. Some U.S. government officials are saying that the plan was to capture al-Baghdadi alive; praise God that part of the plan failed utterly. This event winds up all the United States needs to do in the region. Russian ground and air forces and unleashed U.S. air power demolished IS’s geographical caliphate and severely culled IS manpower. With Al-Baghdadi’s death, there is no reason to remain in Syria and Iraq. (NB: Any sane reason for staying in Afghanistan has long been missing). President’s Trump explicit message to the region’s countries – amounting to, “So long, over to you” – is in line with the republic’s most pressing national interests, and hopefully signals Trump’s intent to quickly end America’s role in the remaining interventionist wars; bring all U.S. forces home; and thereby give U.S. generals a chance to begin to conceive a doctrine that includes the use of main force so that future war-fighting eras do not have to be measured in decades.

–2.) While my family and I were waiting to hear President Trump speak this morning, the British radio network LCB called me asked that I do an interview about the event. Just as we were about to begin the interview, the interviewer pulled away to let his audience – and me – listen to the President’s announcement. I listened for a bout 90 seconds or two minutes and walked out into the kitchen to see what my family thought about what the President was saying. When I came into the kitchen, there was NBC’s Chuck Todd interviewing some former intelligence- community dirt-bag discussing why it is still a mistake for the U.S. military to depart from Syria. In other words, LBC’s listeners in Britain were listening to the President speak, while NBC, Todd, and the guest were trying to get a last dig into Trump before letting American viewers hear what the president had to say. After Mr. Trump’s announcement, I did the interview, but I bet most NBC-watchers do not know that Todd and his network delayed their access to the president’s talk for partisan political reasons.

–3.) For what it’s worth, during the LCB interview, I reminded those Brits who were listening that all of the American and Western blood and treasure that has been spilled and spent in the Middle East since May, 1998, is the direct result of either the abject cowardice, or a willingness to accept payoffs from Arabs, of Bill Clinton, George Tenet, Richard Clarke, John Brennan, and a host of other Democratic apparatchiks in the White House, the Pentagon, and the federal bureaucracy, all of whom refused to try and kill Osama bin Laden. I told the interviewer that between May, 1998, and June, 1999, Clinton and his gang of misfits were presented with ten chances to try and kill bin Laden, but refused to attempt even one of them. At the time, Brennan was stationed on the Arab peninsula and refused to request the data we needed from the Saudis; he wrote in a cable that our requests upset them. Then, on the eve of an attempt to capture bin Laden – a plan reviewed and approved by the U.S. Special Forces command, which had been forbidden by the Joint Chiefs to actively assist the plan – Brennan used his back-channel to Tenet and Clinton’s White House and told them he could arrange a meeting with the Saudi king, and that the king and his colleagues would arrange the turnover or apprehension of bin Laden. Clinton, et. al, quickly agreed, the meeting was held, and the Saudis thereafter did nothing to get bin Laden. Clinton, perhaps drunk, confirmed many of these facts in a videotaped meeting with businessmen in Australia on 10 September 2011. In that talk, he told the audience that he absolutely had multiple chances to kill bin Laden, but if civilians got killed in the process, he believed that he would not be any better than bin Laden. (NB: I would like to watch Clinton tell that to the kin of every U.S. military person or civilian killed by Islamists since May 1998, and see if he gets out alive. For the tape of Clinton a day before 9/11, see, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z-BTgjVmEo),

The fact that Clinton and his gang are haunted by their deliberate failure can be seen weekly in a television program called Looming Tower, which is written by the novelist and Democratic shill Lawrence Wright. The series is called a docudrama and has no contact points with reality. The script makes the Clinton administration and the FBI the heroes of the tale; myself and all the CIA officers who risked their lives to give Clinton his chances are, of course, the bad guys. In July, 2017, I wrote a letter to the series’ producer, Legendary Television, after learning what this farcical program was to be about, saying that their story was more or less a total lie. I got a snot-nosed letter back from a fool named Jennifer Grazier at Legendary that said something like “a docudrama is free to be flexible with the truth of a story to make it attractive to the audience.” Well she was surely correct as Wright’s series savages the truth to hide the responsibility of Clinton, Tenet, Brennan, and many others in that administration for the carnage and expense that has befallen Americans and the people of the region since May, 1998.

A final note. When I reminded the LBC interviewer of the foregoing facts, he asked if I was telling him that Clinton had a chance to stop 20 years of war. I said yes, I was there, and I would swear what I said was true on a stack of bibles while under oath.
